Nigerian's President and wife Junketing to Jamaica
President Goodluck Jonathan will leave Abuja today en-route Trinidad and Tobago to mark the Emancipation Day, and Jamaica’s Independence anniversary celebration.
The president, who will be accompanied by his wife, Patience, they will are to witness the Kambule Street Procession, the major event marking the Trinidad and Tobago Emancipation Day tomorrow, with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
according to Dr Reuben Abati, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in Abuja, on Monday, said President Jonathan would also pay a visit to Professor George Maxwell Richards, president of Trinidad and Tobago and his wife, Dr Jean Richards, and meet with members of the Nigerian community.
The president’s official visit to Jamaica would commence on Thursday, with a special commemorative session of parliament in his honour, after which he will be hosted by the Jamaican Prime Minister, Portia Simpson-Miller.
President Jonathan is expected back in Abuja on Saturday. ebawa ki won o!
